Access to the DLR site in Oberpfaffenhofen
Access to the DLR site is via the main entrance and is only possible with a valid identity card or passport. Driving licences, student or residence permits are not accepted. You will receive a visitor pass at the DLR gate, which must be worn visibly for the duration of your visit to DLR and returned to the DLR gate before leaving the DLR site. We would also like to point out that photography and filming is prohibited on the DLR Oberpfaffenhofen site.

By car
How to find DLR Oberpfaffenhofen (Muenchener Str 20, 82234 Wessling)
• By rental car
- leave the airport and take highway (direction München)
- at “Dreieck München-Feldmoching” take highway (direction Lindau)
- at “Dreieck München-Südwest” take highway A96 (direction Lindau)
- leave the highway at Exit 32 “Oberpfaffenhofen”
- at the traffic light turn left towards Herrsching/Oberpfaffenhofen/Weßling
- after approx. 800 m the DLR gate is on your left
1.From Munich Airport (MUC)
– Go to the S‑Bahn station at the airport (located between Terminals 1 & 2).
– Take the S‑Bahn S8 in the direction of Herrsching.
- (You could also take the S1 toward Ostbahnhof, but you must change at Laim to the S8 toward Herrsching if you do.)
2. Stay on the S8
– Ride the S8 all the way to Weßling station.
- This ride typically takes around 1 h 15 – 1 h 20 min from the airport, and trains run frequently (~every 20 min).
3. From Weßling station to Münchener Straße 20
– Once you arrive at Weßling station, you have a few options:
- Walk: It’s about a 10–15 min walk to Münchener Straße 20.
- Bus: You can take a local bus such as X910 or others that stop near the DLR/Oberpfaffenhofen area.
- Taxi: Taxis are available outside the station if you prefer not to walk.
